The results for the 2013 May/June West Africa Senior School Certification Examinations have been reported to have been released.

According to a news report on the Guardian newspaper, over 50% of students made at least 6 credits which is considered a good average record.

Around 1.6m students sat for the exams and around 889,0000 made at least 6 credits while around 1m made at least 5 credits.

Also out of the over 1.6m who wrote the exams, a total of 1,543683 candidates representing 91.3% got their full results.

The WAEC exams were conducted in all 36 states of Nigeria including the FCT. However those few students whose entire scripts got missing due to terrorist attacks would have no other option than to rewrite the exams but at no further cost to them.

WAEC results should be available on the official result checking website soon.
